Dawn has been a licensed insurance broker since 1986 and is currently licensed in seven states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming). She began her career in California specializing in life, health and disability products. She opened Summit Insurance in 1989 in California and in 1996 in Jackson, Wyoming. Summit Insurance continues today with additional lines of business including AFLAC, group medical and individual insurance. Dawn and her husband Thom have lived in Jackson since 1994. They have 3 children (Adam, Eric and Jillian) and enjoy the outdoors, entertaining friends and supporting the local community.
Thom is the District Sales Coordinator for AFLAC in western Wyoming. He assists our sales team and particularly enjoys educating clients about AFLAC. He has been married to his loving wife, Dawn, for over 25 years and they have three great kids: Adam, Eric and Jillian. He enjoys the outdoors and traveling with his wife and family.
Adam is the oldest of Dawn and Thom's children. He is a licensed agent since November 2010 and specializes in individual insurance, short-term insurance and travel insurance. He has lived in Jackson for 18 years and graduated from Jackson Hole High School in 2005. He enjoys all the fun activities that Jackson has to offer.
Christine joined the Summit Insurance team in March 2007 as the Employee Benefits Coordinator and Claim Manager. She moved to Star Valley in 2006 from Phoenix, AZ where she worked for CIGNA HealthCare for the past 9 years. Her insurance experience is diverse and she advanced into several different positions during her career at CIGNA including: Customer Service Agent, Internet Agent, Provider Specialist, Project Management, Technical Coach, Trainer, Appeals Processor, Claim Processor and Medicare Coordination of Benefits Specialist. Currently she lives in Star Valley and enjoys outdoor activities with friends and family.
Robyn has been with Summit Insurance since Janurary 2008 as our Group Renewal Agent. She received her teaching degree from Chadron State College and taught special education for 4 years in Dallas, TX and 1 year in Rock Hill, SC. She decided it was time to leave teaching and embark on a new adventure so she left the teaching field and became the assistant manager for 2 years at First Bank of the Tetons. She supervised 6 employees in the new accounts and teller area which enabled her to be an integragal part of the community. She has built relationships with many new and old friends in Jackson and the surrounding area. She performed many job duties in the banking industry and acquired knowledge that helps her in the healthcare industry today. She lives in Star Valley with her chocolate lab.
Jennifer has been employed by Summit Insurance Services since May 2010 as our Marketing and Admistrative Assistant. She has lived in the Star Valley area for over 10 years. She enjoys the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
Kristin has recently returned to Summit Insurance after a 4 year hiatis to spend time raising her children in Star Valley and working for Star Valley Medical Center as a Charge Coder in the business office. She previously worked for us from 2000 to 2007 and brings back 7 years work experience. She lives in Star Valley with her two sons, Jonathan and Daniel. Her spouse, Steve, is an over the road truck driver.
